Incense Burner – Gold Brass – Assorted – For Cone & Resin

Minimalist elegance meets ancient function — a gold brass burner that makes every ritual more beautiful.

This gold brass incense burner is a study in refined simplicity. Its minimalist design elevates the ritual of incense burning — transforming it from a practical act into a moment of beauty and presence. The traditional three-legged base supports a lower cup that catches ash and protects any surface, while the conical lid is pierced with star-shaped cutouts that allow fragrant smoke to escape gracefully and air to circulate freely — ensuring optimal, even combustion of your incense. Compatible with incense cones, charcoal discs, and loose resins, this versatile piece works with your entire incense collection. Assorted designs — each one a small, elegant object for the altar, the desk, or anywhere you want to invite a moment of sacred fragrance into your day.

✦ Design details
Star-pierced conical lid — the cutout star pattern serves a dual purpose: it allows fragrant smoke to escape in beautiful wisps, and creates airflow that supports even, consistent burning of cone and resin incense.
🫙
Lower catching cup — the base cup catches all ash and falling embers safely, protecting the surface beneath and making cleanup simple and easy.
🦶
Three-legged traditional base — the classic three-point base provides stability on any flat surface, while lifting the burner slightly to allow air to circulate beneath and prevent heat transfer to the surface below.
Gold brass finish — the warm gold tone of the brass gives this burner a timeless, elegant quality that suits any aesthetic — from the traditional altar to the modern minimalist space.

How to use your brass incense burner +

This burner is designed to work with three different types of incense — each requiring a slightly different technique. Here is how to get the best from each.

🔺 For incense cones

  • Place your incense cone directly in the centre of the lower cup, with the pointed tip facing upward.
  • Light the tip of the cone and allow it to catch and burn with a small flame for 5–10 seconds, then gently blow out the flame. The cone should now glow at the tip and produce a steady stream of fragrant smoke.
  • Place the conical lid over the cup. The star cutouts will allow the smoke to escape beautifully and the airflow will support an even, consistent burn.
  • Allow the cone to burn completely. Once finished, the ash will remain in the lower cup for easy disposal.

⬛ For charcoal discs with loose resin

  • Place a small amount of sand, salt, or fine soil in the lower cup to insulate it from the intense heat of the charcoal disc.
  • Using metal tongs, hold a charcoal disc and bring a lighter to its edge until it begins to spark and self-ignite. Place the lit disc in the cup and allow it to ash over (1–2 minutes).
  • Place small pieces of loose resin (oliban, myrrh, copal, etc.) directly on the glowing disc. The conical lid can be left off or placed loosely for partial coverage — experiment with both to find your preferred smoke intensity.
  • Add more resin as desired. One charcoal disc burns for 45–60 minutes.

🪵 For incense powders & dried herbs

  • As with loose resins, use a lit charcoal disc in the lower cup (with sand or salt beneath for insulation).
  • Sprinkle a small pinch of incense powder or crumbled dried herb directly onto the glowing disc surface.
  • The conical lid can be placed loosely to allow partial airflow and create a more diffused smoke release.
What to burn in your burner +

This burner's versatility makes it compatible with a wide range of aromatic materials. Here are some of the most popular and meaningful options:

🫧 Oliban (Frankincense)Sacred resin for purification, spiritual elevation & deep meditation
🌑 MyrrhAncient resin for grounding, introspection & emotional depth
🌿 CopalMesoamerican resin for cleansing, offering & raising vibration
🍂 Dragon's BloodDeep red resin for protection, intention & amplification
🪵 Incense conesAny cone incense — sandalwood, jasmine, lavender, rose & more
🌸 Dried herbs & powdersLavender, rose petals, rosemary, mugwort & botanical blends

Always use natural, unprocessed aromatics. Avoid synthetic fragrance oils on charcoal discs — they can release unpleasant compounds at high temperatures.

Spiritual & ritual uses +

An incense burner is more than a practical object — in spiritual and ritual practice, it is the vessel that holds and releases sacred fragrance, the point from which smoke rises as prayer, offering, or intention made visible. Here are some of the most meaningful ways to incorporate this burner into your practice:

  • Altar centrepiece — place at the centre or front of your altar as a focal point. The smoke rising from the star-cut lid creates a moving, living element that brings the altar to life during ritual.
  • Space clearing — burn white sage cones, frankincense resin, or cedar incense to clear the energy of a space before ritual, meditation, or after conflict or illness.
  • Meditation & breathwork — burn a calming incense (sandalwood, lavender, or frankincense) in this burner a few minutes before settling into your practice. By the time you sit down, the room will be filled with a grounding, inviting fragrance.
  • Offering to deities or ancestors — incense has been used as an offering across every spiritual tradition in human history. Place this burner on your ancestor altar or deity shrine and burn an appropriate resin or incense as an act of devotion and connection.
  • Smudging alternative — when smudge sticks are not available or appropriate, burning smudging herbs in cone or powder form in this burner achieves a similar energetic effect in a more contained and manageable format.
  • Fragrant home atmosphere — even outside of formal practice, this burner can simply be used to fill a room with beautiful, natural fragrance — bringing a moment of sensory richness and calm into an ordinary day.
Care & maintenance +
  • Allow the burner to cool completely before handling or cleaning after use.
  • Empty ash from the lower cup after each use. Ash can be disposed of in the compost or garden — it is natural and non-toxic.
  • Clean the cup and lid gently with a dry or barely-damp soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the brass surface.
  • The brass may develop a natural patina over time with regular use — this is normal and considered beautiful by many. If you prefer to maintain the bright gold finish, polish occasionally with a brass-appropriate cloth.
  • Always use on a heat-resistant surface — a ceramic tile, stone slab, or dedicated incense tray are ideal.
  • Store in a dry location when not in use to prevent tarnishing.
  • Never leave burning incense or charcoal unattended.
